When thinking about our bands identity we wanted them to appear quite rebellious, fun and against authority. So when coming up with an idea for the band's name, we thought we could use the ideas of morals. We wanted to keep it short and snappy using possibly one or two syllables. Our first idea was to call them 'morality'.
We then started thinking of an idea for a logo which would be the name 'morality' with an angel halo on the left corner and the devils pitchfork underlining it. However on further thought we realised this name made the band sound like a Christian rock band which went against the image we were aiming for.
This led to brainstorm all of our ideas and these are some of the names which we came up with -
- Without Moral
- Twisted Morality
- Breach
- Corruption
We finally decided on a band name - Urban Rapture
We chose this as it sounds edgy and different. The words having the connotations of modern society and life on the edge of a city whereas rapture gives more of a biblical meaning of accepting sin and moving on. This relates to our main characters choices throughout the narrative.
